Human-AI Teaming is rapidly growing in interest within the field of safety. But who are the humans we are building for? How well do we understand their needs and requirements? And how do we account for differences between humans when building for safety? In this panel, voices not yet well integrated into Human-AI Teaming research will highlight the complexities in understanding how humans interact both with each other and with technology. Covering topics including different communication styles between neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals, and the neuroscience behind decision-making and measuring brain responses, this talk invites attendees to consider what areas will safety need to explore next. CfAA Researcher Dr Nathan Hughes is joined by Dr Holly Sutherland, Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge, and Josephine Flockton, Cognitive Neuroscience PhD student at the University of York who will be exploring these topics.
